Night Wakings

Wow what a night we had! Rielyn is in a phase of night wakings. She is also having a little more trouble going to sleep. She had been doing great ever since I put Ashlyn in her room, for two months...she didn't wake up once! But, now like for the last 2 or 3 nights, she has been waking up at 3 and coming in our room. At that time, I walk her back in and try and calm her fears of monsters or whatever it might be. Then right when I'm about to go back to sleep, in she comes again. This happens 3 or 4 times. Last night it lasted from 3 to 5:30. This may sound bad, but it even got to the point of locking our door. That only lasted a brief second because even though I was SOO frustrated...I couldn't stand to hear her scream and cry. So, I think she just wore herself out by 5:00 and fell asleep...at which time Ashlyn woke up!! So, for the next half hour, I had to comfort Ashlyn and get her back to sleep, which seemed effortless compared to the drama we experienced with Rielyn! I'm hoping this will end soon. I'm thinking it may have to do with my mom leaving on Friday. Rielyn cried and had a really hard time seeing her go since she was here for over a month. Hopefully tonight will go smoother...I read a couple things that I may try. We're going to make a "night waking kit" that has a flashlight, some monster spray (water) and a boom box within her reach that she can just push play on her "veggie tales" music. Lets hope it works...for our sanity!!!
