Make-up, cleaning and a busted ear drum

I'm not sure if I clean too much or not enough if Ashlyn is starting to mop the floor?! Probably not enough!! Despite all the fun it looks like Ashlyn is having...she has been pretty miserable (again) the last 3 days. She started having a fever again on Saturday (3 days after finishing her Amoxicillan for Strep). She had a terrible night last night...I think she (and me too) may have only slept for 3 hours. The only other symptom she had showed up this morning coming out of her ear...puss! So, I took her to the Dr. and sure enough, the ear infection got so bad that her ear drum busted! So, I feel like a terrible mom for not recognizing any other signs other than a fever (because there really was none...no pulling at the ear etc., she even preferred to sleep on the infected ear side which didn't make sense, and again she has 4 molars cutting through right now). So, she's now on more stronger antibiotics (that give her terrible diarrhea, hence bad diaper rash) and tylenol with codeine (hallelujah!). I feel so bad for her, but hopefully we'll kick all this for good this time! Maybe we should just quarantine our family for a month and load up on more vitamins before we get out again?! I find it very odd that both the girls and I take vitamins regulary and Nathan doesn't and we're always the ones getting sick?! Oh well...life isn't fair, is it!!
