No pictures for this post as it would be pretty unpleasant! If you're not a big fan of baby poop stories either...stop here. Kellan taught me a lesson the other night concerning his diaper changings. It was 4:30 in the morning and I was changing his diaper (like normal in between feeding). He is down to about 1-2 poopy diapers a day, but he makes up for it with wet diapers! Anyways...I guess I got confident when changing his diaper this time that he wasn't going to poop (and I was half asleep too) that I didn't put a changing pad down on my bed where I change him. I also for some reason didn't move his Pj's out from under him. Well, when I went to put the new diaper under him, in that split second when his legs were up...he EXPLODED! All over me, my hands, my feet (I was sitting cross legged), the BED, his PJ's etc. You get the picture. SO...I'm frantically grabbing wipies and trying to clean everything up. It was such a mess, I couldn't even get the diaper out of the way without flinging poop everywhere and it somehow got in his bassinet too! And in the process of trying to move the diaper again (with his legs up again...stimulating him obviously)...he EXPLODED again! Same scenario, except worse now because I've run out of wipies. I'm sitting there surprised each time he poops, why I don't know...I should know better. Nathan, laying there half asleep finally rolls over and says "why are you acting surprised every time he poops on you and why aren't you doing anything about it?" Oooh...bad thing to say at this point. So, he finally asks if I need help! I tell him to "run" downstairs and get me some more wipies. Nathan's idea of running downstairs at 4:30 in the morning must have included a snack and a nice glass of juice...5 minutes later, while I'm sitting covered in poop because yes, he pooped a third time, he comes back with wipies. Imagine too, during all this Kellan is smiling from ear to ear...he must have been getting a kick out of this! So, I finally get everything cleaned up as best I can. I couldn't change the sheets because we somehow lost our other set of sheets, so I layed a towel over my side of the bed and went back to sleep. Next time Kohls has a sale on bedding I'm buying like 3 more sets of sheets. Thank-you Kellan for teaching me a lesson on why I should always put a changing pad down!

Oh my, this had me LOL! We are only one week old here and have already had about 3 of these. Although, not all over my bed. Just all over the door in her room, that is 3 ft. away, and all over the carpet. Luckily, I have always had a changing pad and haven't run out of wipes. Thanks for the lesson. :)
That's awesome! Kid's are always a constant suprise!
That is so funny Chrissey - thanks for sharing!!
