Rielyn has been taking piano lessons for 2 weeks now and she LOVES it! We've had a piano for 6 years but it was rarely getting much use. I started piano lessons at her age and took lessons all the way until my senior year in high school. I play when I have time now...which is why it hasn't gotten much use the last few years! I think music is a very important part of learning and I think it helps children in other areas of learning too. You might wonder why I don't teach her since I have the knowledge? Well, the below picture says it all! 
His name is Kellan and this is how I found him when I left Ashlyn to watch him for 2 minutes while I sat down to help Rielyn practice a song. SO...I would rather pay someone that can give her their full undivided attention and make learning fun! I can help her practice here and there and it's working out great so far! She is picking up on it really quickly! Here's a little recital for your listening enjoyment! Oh and we really really need to get our piano tuned if you can't tell!

Go Rielyn! I am all for music (esp since I have a music ed degree) I think it helps kids in many ways!! Let us know when she has a recital I would love to come!

Wish we had a piano at home. I would love for Madison to learn. I think she would really love it. I was a flute player in High School...piano would be more fun!
Chrissey, I'm coming over to tune that piano this instant. That's scary! (Not Rielyn's playing, though)
