Dr. Visit

Ashlyn had her 6 month "well child" appointment this week. But, she ended up not being so "well". We were suppose to get her immunizations and all, but she still had 2 eye infections and an ear infection still. The 5 days that she was on Amoxicillin didn't help her at all, in fact, her infections seemed to get worse and on top of that the Amoxicillin gave her diarrhea. So, the doc prescribed her some Augmentin and some pill that I'm suppose to put in baby food and give her that helps with the diarrhea and upset stomach from the meds. After just one dose of the new medicine, she was doing much better! So back we go in two weeks to make sure she's better and to get her immunizations! They did chart her growth etc and she is growing so fast!! She is now 17 lbs, which is 75% (watch out Molly, here we come!), 26 inches long (50%) and a whopping 17.5 inch head (90%). She grew 4 inches in the last two months!!! I'm afraid we've either outgrown all the hand me downs from Molly and Rielyn or they are out of season for her size. Luckily, the huge consignment sales are next month so we can stock up!! I love those things!!
