Trick or Treat?

Well, this year we chose treats! Instead of dragging the kids around for more trick-or treating (we have PLENTY of candy from everything else), we stayed home and had a Halloween party of our own!I decorated a little and we made Halloween cookies and decorated them, painted pumpkins (the cleaner, safer version of carving pumpkins for a 2 year old), watched Halloween cartoons and passed out candy! The girls had a blast! A little while later, Kim and Peter, Molly and Katie came over and they brought some cupcakes to make and decorate, so we did that too!
Ashlyn was so funny to watch do all this! She did very well rolling out the dough and doing the cookie cutters, but when it came time to decorate them, she just wanted to eat the icing! Then when she tried to put sprinkles on them, the lid got stuck to the icing on her cookie! Both Rielyn and Ashlyn enjoyed painting the pumpkins...Ashlyn got a little carried away (thanks to Aunt Katie) and painted her hands and nose too!
