Last week, we made a brave attempt at going to the zoo in the heat. We went a little earlier in the morning from about 9 to 11:30. It really wasn't too bad, but by 11:30, like a Little Ceasars Pizza, we were "hot and ready"! Don't you just love my similie! This picture reminds me of a senior picture spot. I think I'll bring the kids back in 10 years for their senior pictures.
Anyways, we went with my sister and Dee Dee and our 14,000 children. Here is a picture of sweet little Cali looking at the butterfly...what you don't know is 2 seconds after this picture, she got a hold of the butterfly with a kung-foo death grip and about killed the poor little thing! It did survive though with only minor wing damage!
The animals were all out and playing early in the morning...if I could only get up early enough every time we went to the zoo, we might actually get to see animals!
The main reason we went, is because I had about $20 in ride coupons that had to be used before they expired, so we let all the kids to the rock wall, carosel and train rides.
Dee Dee was very excited to ride the Carosel...as you can see from her big smile!
The whole time we were there, and the rest of the afternoon (McDonalds afterwards and playing at my house), Caleb and Rielyn could not stay away from each other! They were flirting all day!
