It's official

Sunday, Rielyn had her Kindergarten graduation ceremony at church. It was a pretty neat event. They lined all the kids up at one table and had them eat together (it kind of looked like all the pictures of the Last Supper!) and then had them recite everything they learned throughout the year. I'm so proud of Rielyn for everything she has learned this year. She learned so much, not only for class, but also for what she will carry with her the rest of her Christian life. Through this class she has been consistent in daily Bible reading...if I forget one night, she will not let me live it down. She also has learned to say the most sincere (and sometimes funny they are so sincere) prayers. She can recite the books of the New Testament, about half of the Old Testament, the twelve apostles, the twelve tribes of Israel, and the days of creation (see video below). She can also find scriptures in the Bible all by herself. I am so thankful that we belong to such a wonderful church family that provides such a wonderful learning environment for our children. It makes me want to be a better Christian person. A lot of my gratitude goes to Brenda, the childrens minister. She is one of the best around! I really hope and pray that we will continue to be able to work with The Edmond church of Christ for many many years and can't wait until I can see Ashlyn and Kellan graduate from this same class in a few years!

Congratulations Rielyn! Madison loved Kindergarten! I agree the graduation and all they learned that year was unbelievable but very exciting. Madison still remembers it all!
