Well, I have a lot to catch up on so here is part 1 of who knows how many parts! The 18th of December, Nathan and I celebrated 9 years of marriage! I can't believe how fast the time is going by and it makes me kind-of sad! Nathan is my best friend and the person that I can not imagine my life without! He works so hard to provide for his family and sometimes I take that for granted. Life is super busy right now and sometimes it's hard to realize how blessed I truly am! He has given me 3 beautiful, healthy children and the opportunity to fulfill my dream of being a stay-at-home mom. I love you Nathan! Here's to many, many more years!
I had to work the day of our Anniversary, but Nathan took most the day off and came up to Sonshine School to bring me flowers and hang out for a little while! Then, that evening we had Katie (my little sister) stay w/the kids so we could go out on the town...Bricktown that is! It's been since Rielyn was 18 months old (so 5 years) that we have gone away by ourselves for a night!
We ate dinner at Micky Mantles Steakhouse (our bill was taken care of for us!) and then took a horse drawn carriage ride around Bricktown. Then we settled into the Courtyard Marriott for the night (complete w/a jacuzzi tub in the room)...a kid-free night! No kids to put to bed, no-one waking up at 11, 1, 3 or 4. And as much as I like to say that I got a full nights sleep...I didn't. My body must be used to waking up so much and I still woke up at the before mentioned hours!
The Chase building looked so neat in the fog! Pardon my perma-grin in the picture below...the excitement of spending a night out w/out kids was starting to kick in! :)
