The last day of school...bittersweet for many reasons! Rielyn had a great teacher this year...and we found out she's moving up to 2nd grade...the teacher and Rielyn :)! So hopefully our request will be granted and she'll have Mrs. Knutson again! 1st grade has been HARDCORE this year and for all you parents out there with pre-k'ers and k'ers...1st grade is where they take off! I hadn't worked with Rielyn very much on reading over the summer and her reading scores showed it. I am proud to say that now at the end of the year her score is up to the 95 percentile and her math is 100% (she takes after me!)!
The last day all the grades had a field day, remember those! :)
Ashlyn loved all the events...I could hardly keep up with her as she ran to each one!
She especially like the potato sack race...who doesn't?!
Me and Rielyn on her last day of 1st grade!
Rielyn in the potato sack race!
I have a bully for a 1st grade girl! She jousted a little first grade boy and well....the pictures say it all!
I think he was a little embarrassed and ran off really quick afterwards! :)
And the class tug-o-war! They all really enjoyed it! And below is the card/letter Rielyn made for her teacher the morning of her last day. She left it at home, so I scanned it in and emailed it to her teacher. I thought it was so sweet of her to do that! :)
