Bath time is lots of fun with two girls. Ashlyn is starting to really enjoy splashing Rielyn...Rielyn really doesn't like it too much. I know you can't tell by Rielyn's picture, but her hair is getting SO long! It goes down to her lower back when it's wet. But as soon as it starts drying, it starts kinking up! People ask me all the time if her curl is natural...like I have time to get up and spiral curl her hair every morning?! YES, it's natural...can you believe it! She's been blessed with beautiful hair. Of course, in a few years she'll probably hate it and want it straight...that's how it always works!
Sonshine school started last week...all of us (me, Rielyn, and Ashlyn) started. I am teaching the 2 1/2 year olds. I thought it would be stressful, but the kids are actually very good and cute too! Rielyn is a regular for Sonshine school, she loves it. She's got really good teachers this year too. This is a new experience for Ashlyn though. She's been glued to me for the last year and is now having to adjust to being away from me for 5 hours of the day and having other people feed her and put her for a nap (or at least try and put her for a nap). Really, she's doing just fine with it...it's me that's having a hard time adjusting! :) You would think that since she's my second child, I would be okay with all of this, but I'm not! I cried the first day...and I'm even teaching in the same building as her...and right across the hall at that! I can check on her any time of the day...so it's making it a lot easier for me!
On a more serious note...Nathan's uncle (his dad's twin brother) died Saturday morning in Pueblo, Colorado. His dad hadn't talked to his twin brother for 9 years and just like 3 months ago started talking to him like every other day. Then he (Nathan's dad) moved here from Pueblo a month ago. So, I can imagine this is pretty hard on him. Their birthday is today too. That's gotta be even tougher. So, we will probably be going to the funeral in Colorado here within the next few days. Pray for his family and our safety on the trip there!
