Whirlwind trip

This is what 10 hours in the car does to my kids! I guess I should be glad I have good travelers, huh! Well, Rielyn travels a little better with the help of some dramamine, she gets motion sickness every time we go on a trip. I forgot to bring some on the way down and sure enough she threw up. But, I got some for the way back and it worked wonders! So we're back from our whirlwind 3 day trip to Colorado. We left Monday evening at 5 p.m and got to Co. Spgs at 1:30. Let me just tell you how much I miss Colorado this time of year!! We pulled in and it was cold!!! Not like 60 degrees cold, it was 40's cold! And the daytime was in the 60's and 70's! Oh, how I miss it...and now we're back to the 90's in OK. The trip was good...under the circumstances (Nathan's dad's twin brothers funeral). Nathan got to see a whole bunch of his dad's side of the family that he hasn't seen in 10+ years. His dad has 8 brothers and sisters (so 9 altogether, and there was even two more that didn't make it as babies). So, 9 children!! The oldest is in her late 60's and the youngest is in his mid 40's. Yikes! Anyways, it was good for the whole family to get together. The funeral was pretty tough for Nathan's dad. I can't imagine what it's like to have a twin and be at their funeral. They looked almost identical. I guess his Dr. put him on some diet pill 6 months ago, and it may have caused some heart problems that he didn't tell anyone about until too late. Nathan's dad counts his blessings...he had two open heart surgeries from problems from the diet pill Phen Phen. He is doing so much better now. So we got back at 3:30 this morning and I am DEAD tired. Nathan must be much worse...he drove all but an hour and a half and he got up and went to work this morning!
