Had a Happy 4th!

We had a wonderful 4th of July! We tried something different this year to avoid fighting crowds. We decided to get a hotel room down in Bricktown right across from where they shoot off the fireworks! Nathan's older brother and his family came up from Ardmore and we got a 2 room suite (w/a full kitchen) at the Residence Inn. It was an awesome hotel room...it's a brand new hotel. We checked in around 4 then went to eat first at Bourbon St. Cafe to avoid the crowds. Then we walked around Bricktown for a little while and then went swimming at the Hotel. The best part was we got a parking spot at the hotel right across from where they shot off the fireworks and we were able to stay in our cool, bug-free hotel room right up until they started! We could've even watched them from our room if we wanted, but we decided to get the full effect outside! Then afterwards, we just walked back up to our room and watched the other spectacle for an hour and a half (everyone trying to leave the Bass Pro Shop parking lot and get out of Bricktown) while we watched TV and relaxed! :) The girls love staying at hotels...they asked this morning after we left if we were going back to the hotel tonight(I wish)!
