Summer fun

Since the rain has decided to let up for a few days, we've been out in our pool a lot. Rielyn has been afraid to get her face wet/go under water since she was 18 months old. Katie (my younger sister) has been working with Rielyn in the water and along with a good teacher at the Y, she has finally passed the first level swim class at the Y! Ashlyn, within the last year has also developed a fear of getting her face wet...thanks to Rielyn! So, as soon as she turns 3 next month and is able to do the non mommy and me swim class, she's going in! I've already started pouring water over Kellans head and face (he doesn't mind at all) to avoid going through all this a 3rd time!
I know is looks like Rielyn is drowning in the picture, but she's not I promise! She is so proud of herself now that she can go under and she wanted me to take a picture to show everyone!
Since we had 16 or so straight days of rain, we've had all kinds of fun creatures in our yard! We've had rabbits, Nathan said he saw a couple gardener snakes and the girls found a little frog the other evening too. The poor frog though...he kept jumping out of her hands and landing head first on the pavement and then Rielyn put him in a little bug cage during dinner and he kept jumping and hitting his head again! Then after dinner they took him down the slide...rather he tumbled down the slide. They decided to let the frog go before bedtime, but I wouldn't be surprised if we find him again limp hopping around in a circle! Poor thing!
