Some improvements

The last few weeks we've been doing some improvements/upgrades to our home. I have hated the white tile since we've moved into this house. It showed everything! I would sweep and mop and ten minutes later it would look like I hadn't cleaned it in a month! And the carpet was really hard to keep clean downstairs w/all the traffic.










I forgot to take a decent before picture and remembered as they were starting to tear everything out! They also forgot to tell me to cover everything because the dust from the tile removal would go everywhere. And sure enough...everything downstairs was uncovered (dining room table, computer, tv, couches, kitchen stuff, baby toys etc) and ended up with a layer of gray dust on it! I was so mad!






We took out all the flooring downstairs and replace the living and dining areas with pergo floors. And tile everywhere else (entry, kitchen, wierd room off the kitchen and the laundry room). They also did a tile backsplash in the kitchen for free! It's starting to look so much better now! We're contemplating putting the house up for sale this spring, but if we don't, at least I'll like living here a little better now! If only we could tear out the stairs and put in an elevator, I wouldn't insist on moving at all! I just think the stairs have been and will be too dangerous for our family. The girls and I have all fallen down the stairs and I really don't even want to give Kellan a chance to!

We also had the outside of the house painted, it needed it really bad! Now, our next project is gutters! Any recommendations?! :)
