Cheer and Yoga

Rielyn went to a cheer clinic today at Edmond North High School. She has been excited to go to it up until this morning when I woke her up early to go. I practically had to drag her there, but once she was there, she had a blast. It was from 9-12 and in those 3 hours, they learned a cheer and a dance. The dance is to a Hannah Montanah song and she knew every word to the song and was trying to sing it instead of dancing to it! They are going to perform the cheer and dance at the ENHS boys basketball game on the 8th of February during half-time!

And in the spirit of stretching...Kellan has been practicing his downward dog (Yoga) that we have been working on at home! :) He isn't quite crawling, but he has been pushing himself up into this position and then taking a step then sitting back down. Yesterday he accidentally stepped onto the changing pad which was slippery and his legs stretched out to the splits (while standing in his downward dog pose). He got the funniest look on his face like "I don't think my legs are suppose to go this way!"

You know, I remember when Katie was a baby that I would regularly see her in different yoga poses. I'm convinced that these poses were created by watching flexible children and wondering if adults could do it!

Okay, the downward dog pose cracks me up. If only I were that flexible.
