Nathan says I need to quit watching HGTV because all I want to do is "fix" our house lately! Since we've moved in here 3 years ago we have changed the window treatments in almost all the rooms in our house, except the front door and our bedroom. They both had the white sheer stuff and we haven't changed them. So, since Ashlyn has been sick for a week now and all our activites have been put on hold...I decided to get the sewing machine out and dust off the cobwebs! I'm glad I decided on sewing the curtains instead of buying them...it only cost $16 do make both! What a deal!
I know that the front door area might look a little more light and open with the sheer curtains, but Nathan hated that people could see in and has been asking me to do this for a while!
Now...according to HGTV all we have to do is get rid of all of our clutter and we'll be in pretty good shape! Any ideas on how to do that?? Right now, our bedroom is home to the pack-n-play (which is not being used anymore), a treadmill, 2 dressers, 2 nightstands, 2 tv's (one that is just sitting on the floor not being used), a vanity table, a bar bell and two dumb-bells (not referring to Nathan and I). I can't even go into what's on the dressers! So, it looks like we've got our work cut out for us! I need one of those HGTV shows to come to my house and help me! Too bad they NEVER come to Oklahoma (I already checked)!

Wow! Love your new curtains! That's so great! We've been in our house for over SEVEN years, and I STILL haven't put up ANY window treatments. Granted, we're in the mountains and have a large lot of land, but still... I know we need them for decor... I can sew, I'm just so bad about knowing what wuold or wouldn't look good.

P.S. Are the curtains by your front attached at the bottom, too, or are they just hanging? I should really do something like that with the windows next to our front door.
