Born to hand jive, baby!

Last night, the girls' school had a sock hop! It was so much fun! This was in place of a fall festival I guess. I didn't go to the fall festival last year, but one of the moms said this was a bigger hit. It was pretty crowded and I'm lucky I didn't lose one of our 3 kids, Kellan stayed in his stroller the whole time, thank-goodness!
They had a hula-hoop contest (yes, that's Josh and Abby in there too!), costume contest, twist contest, cupcake walk, pizza, root beer floats and lots more.
The girls LOVED dancing (they had a live DJ that was a lot of fun). They had no fear getting up on the stage...especially Ashlyn! She had some moves on her!
They got to take pictures in an old pink cadillac and they had a 50's diner set up for pictures too (for a fee of course...how else would the school make money?).
The best part of the evening (to me) was Ashlyn's reaction to riding the school bus to get back to our car. It was her first time in a bus and she just looked like she felt like such a big girl! It was priceless...you just had to see it I guess.
