Pumpkin Patch

This fall break we ended up staying in town. We were suppose to go to San Antonio, then to my parents farm in Missouri...but none of it worked out for a variety of reasons. So, we decided to stay here, relax and spend some quality time together! Today we went to the Parkhurst Pumpkin Patch with Laura W. and her kiddos. We hadn't been to this one yet because we've always just gone to Chesters out in Piedmont. I liked this one a WHOLE bunch more. It felt more spread out to me and there were a ton more trees and it just felt more farmish (if that's a word) to me. It reminded me a lot of my parents farm in Missouri actually. Kellan had a blast running around...I don't even know why I took the stroller in, I guess to carry our coats and snacks! His favorite was the chickens...he kept finding his way over there and wanting to touch them! The kids all got to pet and feed the animals, ride a pony, jump all over every size of hay bale, swing on tire swings and hammocks, ride a very picturesque hay ride (a lot prettier than others I've been on) and of course, pick a pumpkin! We were there for almost 3 hours and I never heard a complaint from any of the 6 kids! The weather was perfect and we just had a blast!
