Alright, beware this post has a lot of pictures. But they are pictures that I love and want to remember. So deal. We always have to make time to visit my uncles gym "Let it Shine" while we're in Nashville. He is co-owner of a christian based gymnastics gym and we usually get the place all to ourselves to play on all the stuff!
Rielyn playing tarzan!
I tried it too...it seems like the last few times I'd been to his gym I was either pregnant or just had a baby (Kellan was 4 weeks old) and so I didn't play to my fullest ability! Well, this time...nothin was holding me back! I had SO much fun!!
Kellan tried the rope swing too. We told him to let go and drop...he did, but he did it on the mat. Oh well, he thought it was fun!
I wish you could see his face in the above picture, he was squeeling while I swung us across! But, once we landed safely in the foam pit, he smiled real big and said "again!"
Nathan and Peter were like teenage boys in this place. First Nathan tries to contort his body in all sorts of ways on the bars and then Peter (being the great example that he is for all the kids in the gym...including the birthday party that was going on), thinks it's cool to jump off the upper level railing into the foam pit! Don't mind the 10 ft wide gap in between them either!
The bungee swing...always a favorite! You can get some serious air (and hair) on that thing!
The family crowd watching the craziness of all of us unleashed in the gym!
Ashlyn giggled the whole time!
Now, the following pictures of Nathan are hillarious! I don't know where he learned to "jump" on the trampoline, but I am so shocked that he didn't walk out of there with a broken something or other!
Funny story though...well, not so funny at the time really. His last attempt at a exploding flip (that's what I've named his moves) was a little too crazy. I was standing on the side of the trampoline against the pummel horse and all of a sudden he comes flying at me in the middle of a flip. He back kicked my chin and slammed himself onto the pummel horse/floor! For everyone who was watching, they thought for sure he took me out and hurt himself pretty good...but, nope. I suffered a swollen chin and he got some soreness out of the deal. Crazy kid, I mean man.
Below is a picture of my dad and his two brothers. My dad is the oldest and he is barely off the tramp, my uncle Scott is in the middle and my uncle Kit (the gymnast/owner) is getting the most air! I thought it was funny how this picture captured the three of them together in order! :)
Then, us 3 sisters thought we needed to do some syncronized tricks too! This was our closest one...not too bad?!
Then after several successful flips...I botched the last one and this is how I landed. Thanks to Nathan for the great picture.
Ashlyn then wanted to show off her moves on the trampoline! Great split jump Ashlyn! :)
And Rielyn in on the action too...I think she's doing a herky jump or something!
