Sleepless nights

Wow, what an exhausting night we had last night! And not just last night either...the last 3 nights have been pretty bad, but last night was the worst. I think Rielyn and I maybe got 3 hours of sleep. She was up most the night crying saying her ear hurt and she didn't feel good. So, I took her into the Dr. this morning and sure enough she has a pretty bad ear infection in her left ear and one starting in her right ear. She hasn't had an ear infection, let alone been sick enough to go to the doctor in a year. Not only does she have an ear infection, she also has the stomach flu too. She threw up on the floor at the Dr.'s office and hasn't eaten much since yesterday morning. She did eat some eggs with me tonight for dinner and some dry cheerios so hopefully she can keep that down. Anyways, the Dr. gave us an antibiotic, some topical cream for nausea (it's pretty cool since before all you could do for nausea was an enema), and some numbing eardrops. They have also come out with tylenol meltaways which makes medicine giving at this age so much easier. Kids are so lucky these days...all I remember growing up was crushed asprin in applesauce!
