Caught red handed!

Hee hee ! Rielyn will probably hate me for this picture later, but oh well!! :) The funny thing is, I also ate a donut and my face pretty much looked like hers too. But, it's so much cuter on her!
So, I've missed about almost 3 weeks of pilates (well, pretty much any exercise in general) and it's starting to take it's toll! I've been feeling tired, lazy and unmotivated. So, I promised myself that after the new year, I would get back on the horse. So, yesterday I got myself up and got the kids ready and I made myself get out the door to the YMCA. When I got there, my pilates class had been cancelled for the day! Just my luck right! So, I thought I'd just go run on the treadmill for a while instead....yeah right! I got up there and it was packed...every treadmill, excercise bike, weight machine etc was in use! So, I'm thinking I may have to put off my getting back on the horse until all those people, whose new years resolutions to exercise...wear off! Surely by the end of January everything will be back to normal right?! So, if you're one of those people who made the resolution to get in shape, I probably just stepped on some toes...but maybe that's my way of challenging all of you to stick with it! :) That's right...I said you won't follow through! So, get out there and prove me wrong!! :)
So, after I left the "Y" discouraged from not being able to work out...I decided to go to the mall! If you can't exercise, why not shop?! While there, I really didn't shop, rather exchanged some Christmas gifts. We also finally got Rielyn's ears pierced! She's been asking to have it done for a few months now and we almost had it done once before but she chickened out. So after she had a shot (that didn't phase her) at the Dr.'s office and I said that getting her ears pierced wouldn't be any different she's been asking ever since! The only part she kinda freaked out about was when they wanted to draw the dots on her ears with the marker. I think she thought that was the actual piercing part. But, they had 2 girls do it, one on each ear so that it happened all at once. Which is great, because she sat there for a second after they did it then got this petrified look on her face and starting crying! They wouldn't have been able to touch her other ear with a ten foot pole if they would've done one ear at a time! But, after a couple minutes of crying and a Cinderella necklace and ring later she was perfectly fine...until later that evening when I had to clean them! I about took the earrings out after that episode! But, I told her that cleaning them and turning them (3x/day for 6 weeks) was part of having her ears pierced and that if she fought me ever again, I would take them out and she wouldn't ever get them pierced again! Lo and behold, when I cleaned them again before bedtime...she was very compliant!! I guess she really wants to keep her ears pierced! :) So a little later when we were walking around the mall, Rielyn was so proud she got her ears pierced, she was walking a proud walk singing "I got my ears pierced" (to the toon of "nanny nanny boo-boo")!
