My little gardener!

Wow, okay I know... a lot of pictures! But, it's justified because we had a fun busy day yesterday! First off, we went to the zoo with 4 moms from church and their 5 kids, and my sister and sister-in-law and their 2 kids. So as you can see in the picture, we had 7 moms and 9 kids! And I know a lot of the fellow blog readers are reading about and/or hearing about our zoo trip for the umteenth time, but I have a couple other family and friends that I want to hear about our adventures! We had a lot of fun, we watched the sea lion show which Ashlyn really enjoyed (she kept pointing at them in curiousity). We also saw a couple other animals...of which were the stinky bears. As you can see from the last picture, Rielyn and Ashlyn weren't too fond of the smell! We finished off our zoo trip with the all important PARK! Rielyn would probably go to the zoo just to play at their fun parks if I let her! Although, she did throw a fit when I said it was time to go that we didn't go see the butterflies, which we never do so I'm not sure what prompted the request (sorry...fit). Good thing we have the zoo pass so we can go anytime to see the butterflies! But, luckily...we saw some in our own yard when we were planting some flowers later after we got home! Ashlyn was sleeping, so I took advantage of that time to spend some good one on one with Rielyn. She's really been into planting flowers/seeds lately. So, we went and got some flowers to plant! She knew exactly what do! I didn't have to tell her anything! I was so impressed that she knew what to do! I was thinking all night how smart my little girl was that she knew the process of digging, putting the plant in, putting the dirt back in and packing it down and watering it! But...come to find out today from some fellow parents...a recent cartoon on Noggin, Max and Ruby, had an episode the other day all about planting flowers! How great I feel that Rielyn is learning how to do things from cartoons! Oh well...at least she's learning right?? I promise that I don't let her watch THAT much TV...maybe 2 shows (half hour each). Anyways..we also found a lot of worms which Rielyn was thrilled about...literally! She gave up on the flowers after we found this last big worm. She wanted to hold him and give him a special dirt bucket that she could watch him in! Fun times! Well...we're off to Shiki's tonight (Hibachi style Japanese restraunt where they cook in front of you) for Nathans 29th Birthday today! Happy Birthday Nathan!
