After doing Rielyn's Bday cake in March (Cinderella) I thought that I should try to do one for Ashlyn's too! The cinderella cake wasn't too bad because it was only two colors...the Dora cake however, took a lot longer. Mainly because I had to keep dying the icing and changing out the tips and tubes etc. Another thing that made it difficult was that when it was cooling, it cracked all the way down the middle! 
So, you can see the results and besides the colors not turning out the exact same, I think it turned out pretty good! Ashlyn kept wanting to eat the cake on Saturday (I don't blame her, it was her bday!)...she kept saying "I wanna eat cake"!
One of the presents we got her was a Dora remote controlled jeep..she (and Rielyn) love it of course. I, on the other hand, am about to take the thing back! It is so loud and since they love it...it's going all the time!! Aghhh!! Anyways...Happy Birthday Ashlyn!!! :)

That's great! Have you taken a cake decor. class? I have attempted a few birthday cakes before with no success. What's your secret?
The secret is patience!! It took a good afternoon (granted the kids were bugging me the whole time too) to get it done! I haven't taken a class, I guess it's just out of curiousity that I try it...and I love a challenge!
