This week, I have endured a week long "boot camp" of a new fitness place I tried out this week. My sister-in-law and I used a free one week coupon we got out of the phonebook and tried as many classes we could. "Nothing But Class" is what it's called and it's a place that only women can go and it's name says it all...it's nothing but classes!
Monday, I tried the Cardio Ball class (bouncing on a big ball while doing exercises)...very fun!
Tuesday we did Tonga (combines yoga with toning and a hand massage and lavendar towel at the end!) and then my Pilates class at church I teach.
Wednesday I did Yoga (suprisingly took a lot of strength) in the morning and then Cardio Strip and half of Pole Aerobics class before I had to go to church (should I feel bad?...nah, it was a very clean and fun class).
Thursday was Bar None (hardest class I've ever done...I'm still hurtin) and Kill Bill (bouncing on the trampoline...sorry, rebounder...and flinging swords around).
Today...just my Pilates class that I do at church...I'm very sore from working out all week!
Tomorrow...I may try Pilates, if I'm not still sore! Whew!
Anyways, the point to all that craziness is to try as many classes as I could before I commit. I want to make sure that I will actually enjoy the classes before I sign up. It is only a month to month commitment though, so that's good. I just haven't been using my YMCA membership at all and need something else. Since we got a treadmill, I actually have been using it and don't need to do it at the Y. And I only like the Pilates class on Fridays there, so it really isn't worth it. I will probably keep a youth membership for Rielyn though so she can still do the sports and swim lessons etc.
I think maybe we'll just try this all over at different gyms...free one week trials and cram as much in as possible and then move on...it's very motivating! :) Anyways, if you want to check out the official class descriptions etc. click here.
