Christmas lights

Last night, we went to Chickasha to see the Festival of Light. We've gone every year for the last 3 years and had to squeeze it in this year before it was too late! You know as you drive down there (45 minutes to an hour) and wait in line (30-45 minutes) you wonder if it is really worth it...then you get in the park and walk around and YES it is worth it!! It is so amazing all the lights and how pretty it all is when it's put together! Then you get your hot chocolate and cinnamon rolls and walk around and it's perfect (at least to a pregnant woman!). When we got close, we told Rielyn we were almost there and as we drove past the HUGE line of cars to get in line, Rielyn said..."look at that line, I'm glad we're not over there!" Little did she know that that was the line we had to wait in! Luckily we brought the portable DVD player and they sat contently watching a movie. Then as we turned the corner we could see the lights and Ashlyn said "Yea, we did it...look lights!" It was a fun time! We brought the kids PJ's so we put them in them and drove home and they fell asleep...perfect! On a little side note...Ashlyn is potty training herself (herself meaning...I'm not asking her if she needs to go, she's telling me and just doing it herself) and at events like these I wish she would just be content in a diaper! She had to go potty 2x while we were walking around. Not fun when it's cold outside and there are big lines for the bathroom! Oh and we're driving (yes, driving) to California next week, so that should be REAL fun! The joys of potty training! The bright side...hopefully she'll be completely potty trained before the baby is born!
