The North Pole Santa

Yesterday, Nathan and I took the girls down to the North Pole City to see "the real" Santa. Rielyn has figured out this year from seeing all the different Santa's at the malls and such, that they all can't be the real Santa. She wanted to know why they were all different and I told her that Santa can't be all the places at once and that he's busy making toys at the North Pole. So he sends out "helper Santas" to visit the kids at the malls and such and then they report back to Santa. She seemed content with that answer...whew! Anyways, when I said we were going to see Santa, she asked if it was the real one...of course I said yes! And when we got there...Nathan even told me "that IS the real Santa!" Ashlyn didn't scream this year...she was a little hesitant at first, but she warmed up...he was a really nice and patient Santa. She kept looking at him, pointing and saying "SANTA!" It was so cute! The first picture of Rielyn talking to Santa is priceless...and it shows how long and beautiful her hair is! :) They usually have a train the kids can ride, but it is out of order for the rest of the season...bad timing! But we did find a little playhouse that was showing a movie in it so the kids wouldn't be out running around all the nice expensive Christmas decorations! It is a little expensive for the pictures at $20/sheet for the first pose and $10/sheet after that (not to mention the longer drive), but I think he's a great Santa and the atmostphere makes you feel like you are actually at the North Pole seeing Santa! :)
