Due to the present ice storm ("Ice Storm 2007" I believe is the official title), we have had to be a little creative in order to keep ourselves sane. I know I have a gazillion other things I should do, but making homemade gingerbread cookies sounded so much more fun! Yesterday, and today for that matter, are stay in your PJ's and do stuff you normally wouldn't do days (it's an official day, I promise). Besides, making gingerbread cookies has become a tradition around our house and yesterday deemed itself the perfect day! The girls had a blast (despite the several bouts of fighting over who's turn it was to do the cookie cutting) and Rielyn thouroughly enjoyed watching the oven to make sure the Gingerbread man didn't hop out and run away. Her Kindergarten class has a Gingerbread man theme and they do a lot of activities w/it and so she really got into this at home!

Looks like fun! We vegged out all day and enjoyed the national geographic tree falling spectacle that was my front yard.
