Valentines Activities

Valentines Day came and went with a bang this year! With parties at Sonshine school for 2 kids, and parties at public school for 2 kids...you'd think it was a 3 day long holiday! Ashlyn's pre-k class had another program like they did at Christmas. It was really cute.
We also had our own party at home since Nathan and I were going to be gone for Valentines Day at the church marriage retreat. Rielyn was really upset that we were leaving and weren't going to be home on v-day. She cried herself to sleep the night before we left. She was upset that she made me a Valentines Day card and I was going to be home for her to give it to me. Which reminded me, I never got. (I just asked her about it and she said that she's not done with it and it is now going to be a Mothers Day card! That's funny!) Anyways, she was still upset at school on Friday and so her teacher told her to go write about it in her journal. This is what the picture of her room w/the bunk beds, her standing on her rug and me coming to check on her... The note says "My mom and dad are going to Texas today (we were really going to Tulsa). I was crying last night. I had to watch a movie (to distract her).But I slept still.'Yes dear, what's the matter' said mom. I don't want you to leave. It seems to early to me. My grandpa is watching me. I hope I have fun."
She's still working on her spelling (she takes after her dad)...she still sound spells most her words. But, her math is great (she takes after me)!
