Ashlyn's heart murmer

Ashlyn had her 15 month check up today. She is not growing very much! She is only in the 25% for her height and weight (21.6 lbs), but 90% for her head size still! She also got 4 shots (3 immunizations and the flu shot). I decided to go ahead and get her the flu shot since she's already been sick so much this year...I don't want her to get the flu too! The Dr. also listened to her heart again. At her 12 mo. appt. he heard a heart murmer and said that it may go away on it's own and that he'd check it again this time. Well it didn't go away and he said it sounds a little louder than it should. So he's referring us to a pediatric cardiologist to have an echocardiogram done. He said more than likely, it's still just an functional (innocent) heart murmer that 60-70% of children that have heart murmers are. But, since it's louder than normal, he just wants to have it checked out. So, since the pediatric cardiologist is backed up, our appointment isn't until Feb. 2nd!
Rielyn also got a shot today...didn't phase her a bit though. I told her that that's all it would feel like to get her ears pierced too, and she's ready to go now. She's been bugging me for a while now to have her "ears look like mine", but when she asked how they do it, she changed her mind. But I guess after the shot, she thinks she can handle it!

That's what I have too. Pretty noticeable if you listen to it but they said it really won't affect anything. - Dustin
