Doh!

Thursday night we went to my sister-in-laws house and made Peanut Butter Play-doh!The girls had a blast! I thought they would immediatly eat it, but they actually played with it for a while...until Aunt Lindsey gave them candy to decorate with! As you can see from the peanut butter drool coming out of Ashlyn's mouth, she thought it was a great idea!

Lindsey and I even played with it too! The awesome duck is my wonderful creation...very creative, right?! It was actually very tasty (made with peanut butter, honey, dry milk and optional cocoa). If anyone wants the actual amounts, I can get them for you. We decided to make edible play-doh because my nephew (Noah) is still a little young and probably would try to eat regular play-doh! Ashyn plays great with normal play-doh just because she's seen Rielyn do it and knows what to do. I didn't let Rielyn play with play-doh for a long time because she would always put it in her mouth. But now, thanks to edible play-doh...it's not a problem!

I would love the receipe. However, what can you replace for the peanut butter? I have a child with peanut allergy.

Hey Chrissy! It's Amanda. I, too, was wanting the recipe and wondering if you knew what else to use for a peanut allergy child. I am now the lead teacher in my classroom at the child care center and would like to introduce some fun activities once in awhile -- playdough included. I can't find your email address. Mine is mandirae23@yahoo.com. Thanks!
