You know it's hot when...

...you can make fur coats for your whole family with one brushing of your dog! The picture doesn't even give justice to how much hair came out...more than half of it blew away (into our pool I might add...thank goodness for filters!)Seriously...I feel so bad for our Siberian Husky right now! Now matter how much she sheds, I don't think she can ever not have a heavy coat! Right now, our two dogs are spending the majority of the day in the garage. Our garage stays pretty cool because it's beneath our top floor and faces the north. To stay cool we've been swimming a lot and not just in our pool.
We went to a friends house from church last week and they live about 3 miles north of us. They have deer come into their yard all the time to eat (they set up a trough w/food in it for them). Rielyn was so excited to see a deer so close! We also went to Whitewater Bay yesterday. We went a friend of mine and her two girls who have season passes. It was Rielyn and I's first time there though. I've lived in Oklahoma for 7 or 8 years now and had never been to Whitewater! Well...coming from CO and growing up going to Water World, it really wasn't that exciting. Water world has so many cool rides...some that remind me of Disneyland! And there is only a $5 price difference to get in!! It's crazy! I'm hoping to make another trip out to CO next month and I plan on going to Water World...I can't wait!
So, anyways we went on the family ride first so that Rielyn could see that it wasn't that scary and she loved it. She threw a huge fit when I tried to put her on the individual slide for the first time, but I did it and she ended up loving it too. We went on the Keelhaul falls last. It's the one where you're in a river type thing and go down little waterfalls to pools of water. Rielyn absolutely HATED that one. Every time we went down a waterfall, the water would go way up over onto her. (Side note: for those of you who don't know, Rielyn hates to get her face/eyes wet.) She screamed and cried the whole way down. :( But, at least we rode it last because if we had done that one first, she would not have wanted to ride anything else!
