My mother will be so proud!

Well, I'm embarrased to admit it, but today I took my kids to the library for the first time. The last time I went was in college. Wait, come to think of it I did take Rielyn to the OC library when she was around 1. They do actually have somewhat of a kid section(not that a one year old really cares at that point)! Anyways...I don't know why I haven't taken them...especially Rielyn. She loves to have books read to her and she is very inquistive right now too. Don't get me wrong though, I definently read them...2 or 3 books every night before bed. But, you could definently tell my kids have never been to a library before...they were tearing books off the shelfs right and left and screaming in excitement! They don't understand the concept of being quiet in a library yet. So, my mom (the librarian) will be proud that we finally got a libray card and checked out some books (and a couple DVD's too). I also took them to Barnes and Noble because I needed to look for some Pilates books. They didn't do too well there either. I should've known better than to take Ashlyn there...my sign was this morning when Ashlyn pulled all the books off the bookshelf in their room! Oh well...at least at Barnes and Noble they had more of a kid friendly area with a train table and a stage (that Rielyn, being the dramatic girl she is, took to immediately). So anyways, now that I know about all the cool (not to mention, free!) programs that the library has to offer, maybe we can save some money! Although, we may need to work on quiet skills before going back...do they have books about that?! :)
