So, we're back from our what seems like a months vacation! First we went to Colorado to visit Nathan's mom for a week, came home for 2 1/2 days then went to San Antonio for 3 days. Whew! So, here is the breakdown for the Colorado trip. *There are two slide shows...one is at the end**
We drove to Denver in a car with my sister-in-law Lindsey and her two 2 kids. So we had 5 kids (including the 2 babies) and 2 adults for 12 hours in the car. It usually takes 10 hours, but with potty breaks and stops to nurse the babies, it ended up being 12! Anyways, along with me and my 3 kids and Lindsey and her 2 kids, Nathan's older brother and his wife and 3 kids were there too! So we crashed his moms house...all 11 of us!! Luckily they have a huge house that accommodated us all! I imagine it was pretty overwhelming having us all there at the same time, but it was so fun having us all together (minus Nathan and his younger brother). We went to a fun water park called Pirates Cove on Friday and had a blast. It's a blown up version of our Pelican bay here in Edmond. I really would've liked to go to Water World, but all the kids are still a little too young for that one. Saturday we stuck around the house and visited w/family. Sunday we went to the Denver Aquarium, which I highly recommend. It was so cool! I don't think we saw as much even at Sea World (see next post if I get around to it tonight). My girls just love seeing fish and water life! A funny story real quick...there was a spot where they demonstrated desert rain storms and had a huge gush or water come through a valley. Well, they had signs that designated "wet spots" where if you stood there, you would get wet from the gush of water. Well, I told a couple kids to go stand where I *thought* they would get wet and I would take a picture. Well, when the storm came...I must have misread the signs, because I was right smack in the middle of the gush of water! I had the stroller with me with Kellan in it, but luckily I pulled all the shades up over him because I got pretty wet! I took a picture right before I got soaked...it was really funny at the time! Anyways...on Monday we went to the Broncos Training Camp to watch them practice up close and personal. I've always been a huge Broncos fan, but seeing them so close just made watching them so much neater! Monday night we went to Casa Bonita...we always make a point to go there, I always avoid the bad Mexican food and get Chicken Fried Chicken though. We go for the atmosphere. I actually went through the scary cave this time with Rielyn and Ashlyn to toughen them up. I haven't gone through the cave in years because I've been too chicken...I hate scary surprises! What makes it scary is they have puffs of air unexpectedly shoot out at you as you walk past, scary monster faces that light up as you walk by etc. But as we left the cave Ashlyn says "that wasn't scary....lets do it again!" What? No thanks! I'm done for another few years! I guess I accomplished my task...she's tough! :) Anyways, Tuesday we went up into the mountains to get my mountain fix. I miss the mountains SOOOO much! It was sunny when we left, but when we got up to Breckenridge (we went to do the Alpine slide) it was pouring down rain and 54 degrees with no sign of letting up. So, we just drove back home taking a little scenic route through the Continental Divide ( AWESOME...by the way!!). We left Wednesday to get back home so we could rest and do laundry for our next trip to San Antonio 2 days later!

You're my hero! I love that you haven't let having 3 kids slow you down! Looks like you had a great first vacation. Want to go to CO Springs with us in September? We'll say hello to your parents while we're there!
