This is the scene out our upstairs back window. We live right behind the intersection of Danforth and Santa Fe where the supposed tornado (okay, I guess it's not supposed anymore, I just read they are calling it an F1 tornado now) or "tomato" as Ashlyn calls them, hit last night around 2:15ish. We were actually sleeping, I thought the threat was over around midnight, but luckily my little sister called us and woke us up. We saw the radar on tv and gathered up the kids and went downstairs to our 1/2 bath under the stairs. Well, I say we...Nathan decided to go out front and look! Crazy. Our power only went out for a second and then came back on. 10 minutes later we hear all these police sirens and then this is the scene today. I guess it hit Danforth pretty hard. We didn't realize it came so close! Looks like it's going to be a fun tomato season this year!

We woke up to the sirens as well. Turned on the TV and it said Danforth and Santa Fe, we headed to the laundry room and Jaylee had to eat of course right in the middle of everything without power. Then Ryley goes "What about school" Who cares about school I thought in my head, we are about to get blown away. We were without power for 3 hours. Scary! Kaden kept asking me all day if we were going to go back in the laundry room with our flashlights!
