Rielyn turns 6!

On Friday Rielyn turned 6 years old! I can't believe how fast this last year has gone! To celebrate her birthday, she had some of her friends from school and Sonshine School and a few cousins (28 kids altogether) go to Pump It Up. She had a blast even though she was sick. Yes, she was sick for her birthday party. On Wednesday she came down with a fever, then she threw up Wednesday night and said her throat hurt really bad Thursday morning. Typical strep signs so we headed straight to the doctor. She was already going to miss celebrating her birthday at school and sonshine school and I was not about to cancel her party if we could get this taken care of with antibiotics! After a 15 minute battle to get a throat swap that ended with me picking her thrashing 50 lb. body up onto the table, laying on her to hold her down while the nurse pried her mouth open...we got the culture and within 15 minutes it was a positive strep test. She was on antibiotics 25 hours so she wasn't contagious anymore, but right before the party but was still under the weather. She was laying on the couch saying her stomach hurt, but as soon as we got there and her friends started showing up she perked up and ran on straight adrenaline the rest of the night! The funniest part where I knew she was starting to come down off her adrenaline rush was when she was opening her presents and all the kids were surrounding her with their gifts for her to open next and she started shouting "everyone move back, you're too close!" Poor girl, but we made it through and she racked up on the gifts and so now we have to figure out what to do with all of it! I think everything went very well considering! Happy 6th Birthday Rielyn, we love you! Here's Rielyn with her 2 best friends (well her best friend, Lizzy and her "boyfriend", Tyler). If they were the only one's that showed up she would've been perfectly happy!
